Health screening

Aku turut serta dalam 'pesta' health screening kat Petaling Jaya. It was organised by my supervisor research team headed by a Phd student. The aim is to recruit subjects in the research. So the test we performed that day includes:

- Blood glucose
- Antrhopometry - Height, weight, body fat
- Blood pressure

It was pretty simple as compared to my previous health screening when I joined UM team last year.

Majority residents here are Malays followed by Chinese. In the research team, most of them are Chinese and few Indians.

Setelah selesai sesi health screening, waktu nak pulang.. kami bersalam-salaman dengan AJK penduduk yang terlibat. Tiba-tiba, ade seorang penduduk menegur aku.

"Ambil kos ape kat UKM?.."

"Kos pemakanan cik.."

"owhh.. Bila abes?"

"Insyaallah.. 2014 abes lah..."

dan soalan yang paling touching..

"Awak sorang je ke MELAYU?"

"a'ah pak cik.. saya sorang je..."

"oo.." jawab pakcik tu...  sambil tengok muka aku dengan penuh semangat perjuangan sebangsa, seagama..  


I know there are more Malays who are struggling in their studies too.
